Özet
Otoriter rejimlerin iktidarlarını nasıl sürdürdükleri ve korudukları uzun zamandır incelenen bir konudur. Ancak bu literatür daha çok ulus merkezli gelişmiş ve de iktidar mücadelesini ulusal sınırlar içinde tahayyül etmiştir. Halbuki küreselleşme ve bilişim teknolojilerindeki gelişmeler ile ulusal sınırlar önemini yitirmiş ve egemenlik alanı müphem bir hal almıştır. Önceleri bu gelişmelerin otoriter rejimler hilafına sonuçlar yaratacağı düşünülürken, zaman geçtikçe otokrasilerin bu yeni döneme uyum sağladıkları görülmüştür. Günümüzde bu tip rejimler iktidarlarını sadece ulusal sınırlar içindeki politikalar ile korumamakta ve ulus-ötesi baskı politikaları da geliştirmektedirler. Biz de bu çalışmamızda İran İslam Cumhuriyeti’nin diaspora kaynaklı muhalefeti kontrol edebilmek için geliştirdiği ulus-ötesi baskı politikalarını inceleyeceğiz. Çalışmamızın temel iddiası da İran’ın diaspora siyasetinin diğer otoriter rejimlere büyük ölçüde benzediği ve onların kullanmakta olduğu baskı politikalarını takip ettiğidir. Bu politikalar sayesinde rejim 2009 yılından itibaren süren toplumsal gösterilere rağmen iktidarını koruyabilmiştir.

Abstract
How authoritarian regimes maintain and protect their power is a case that has been studied for a long time. However, this literature developed more nation-centered and envisioned the power struggle at the national level. However, with globalization and developments in information technologies, national borders have been lost and the area of sovereignty has become ambiguous. While it was previously thought that these developments would have negative consequences for authoritarian regimes, over time it was observed that the autocracies adapted to this new era. Today, such regimes do not maintain their power only with the policies in the national borders, but they also developed transnational repression policies. In this study, we will examine the transnational respression policies developed by the Islamic Republic of Iran to control diaspora-based opposition.The main claim of our study is that Iran's diaspora politics is largely similar to other authoritarian regimes and follows the repressive policies they use. Thanks to these policies, the regime was able to maintain its power despite the social demonstrations that have continued since 2009.
