Abstract
ENDERUN SCHOOL WITH ITS POLITICAL ASPECTS
History is a cemetery for some, and a field where formulas for the construction of the future are hidden for others. Enderun school gained the appreciation of many thinkers and made great contributions to the Ottoman Empire becoming a strong state. In fact, many researchers from different countries have worked on this school. Today, when we talk about personalized applied education and look back on the past, the first thing that comes to mind is Enderun School. Although the educational aspect of the Enderun school attracts the attention of researchers, its political aspect is overlooked. This study aims to make a contribution to the Turkish administrative system in this context by focusing on the political aspect of Enderun School. Today, devshirme systems are not applicable for administrations. However, it is possible to “select and classify intelligent people according to their abilities and train them”. However, it is possible that “these selected geniuses learn by seeing the application and increase the administrative power of the country by educating themselves”. In this context, first of all, a literature review was conducted to reveal the political aspects of Enderun School. In addition, the sources reached were examined and the data showing that the school was in contact with politics were separated. Then, these data were classified according to the subjects and the political aspect of Enderun School was examined under ten different titles. Therefore, it has been concluded that Enderun School is not only an educational institution, but also an institution that provides political advantages to the country
