Abstract
THE LEITMOTIV TECHNIQUE IN THE INNER WORKINGS OF THE TEXT IN YAŞAR KEMAL'S "SARI SICAK" STORY
The successful transmission of a message in the fictional work is due to its own internal rules. In this respect, narrative techniques are important in that narrative elements are consistent within themselves. It is because each technique has a certain function at the presentation point of the narrative. Again, all functional units that make up the narrative contribute to the production of narrative. The leitmotiv technique also carries an important role both in the presentation of the character and in the presentation of the content. Leitmotiv, which consist of repetitive expressions in the plane of discourse, guide the basic communication of the narrative in this way. Thus, this narrative technique fuses the layers of form and content in narrative. Therefore, in the narrative which is a complete system, leitmotiv technique emerges as an indicator which shows and emphasizes the basic system. It also influences the aesthetic structure of narration in this way. In this study, the function of the leitmotiv technique as an indicator unit in the inner workings of the text was tried to be revealed from the story of Yaşar Kemal's "Sarı Sıcak".
