Abstract
SPATIAL ANALYSIS OF THE INDUSTRIAL FUNCTION IN THE CITY OF AL SAOUIRA CITY
Industry is defined as a process by which a material is converted from its original state to a new state with which it becomes more useful and satisfying human needs and desires, and this general concept includes the so-called city industry of which it is a part, and was generally estimated as a group of simple manufacturing industries that society needs and is sold within the daily consumption, whose importance is related to the number of population and the level of civilization for them, which was the reason for calling it the service industry, In the light of these definitions, it appears that the city of Saouira includes various industrial activities, which are manufacturing industries in general, including handicrafts and others are mechanical, or the machine may participate in part of the production stages.
The field study was relied on mainly to obtain information about this job, for example, the number of industrial establishments in the city, their types and the number of employees for the year (2021), and the research deals with the classification of industrial institutions in the city of saouira and the patterns of spatial distribution of industry, as well as the distribution of industrial institutions according to their types, and there are in the city of Saouira, there are a few factories and small factories, as there are (394) small industrial facilities.
