Abstract


THE INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECTS OF CORPORATE OPPORTUNITIES ON ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT: A CASE ON TEXTILE SECTOR
The primary objective of this research is to demonstrate the impact of corporate oppurtinities (management and appreciation & working conditions) on organizational commitment. The secondary purpose is to examine the demographic changes of organizational commitment in detail. In this study, face-to-face method was used. The questionnaire consists of three parts as the demographic characteristics, organizational commitment and corporate oppurtinities of employees. The research was carried out on a total of 424 people, selected by quota sampling method, worked in 17 textile organisations in Düzce. Structural equation modeling and logistic regression methods were used for analysis of research data. As a result of the structural analysis performed according to the predicted model, in terms of emotional commitment there is a corresponding effect for the sub-factors of both corporate oppurtinities. It has been found that the the working conditions factor has a more proactive effect on both normative and continuance commitment than the management and appreciation factors. According to the results of logistic regression, when the management satisfaction, working condition satisfaction and the age ranges of the sample increase, the tendency of commitment is also increasing. In addition, the tendency of continuance commitment is seen more in women.
