Abstract
TEACHING TURKISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE LEARNERS’ ATTITUDES TOWARDS COMPUTER ASSISTED LANGUAGE LEARNING
Today, technology that develops rapidly in every field of life makes it necessary to use computers in language teaching. Computer-assisted language learning involves the use of computers in various methods and skills to support foreign language learning, and a number of specialized language software programs that must be loaded into the computers used. The purpose of the research is to determine the attitudes of TÖMER students of Gaziosmanpaşa University against the use of computer assisted materials in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. An attitude scale was applied to students in order to determine their attitudes towards learning Turkish, general computer use and learning Turkish with computers. The data was analyzed using the SPSS-22 statistical program. Findings have shown that students have a positive attitude towards computer-assisted language learning. Students perceive computer technology as a useful tool to support language learning.
