Abstract


ASSESSMENT PROCESS OF TURKISH TEACHING AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: TURKISH PROFICIENCY EXAM (TPE) EXAMINATION IN IRAN
Measurement and evalution is one of the most important steps of education process. The main purpose of the assessment is to reveal appropriate level of knowledge of focus groups. Besides, assessment process of the language maintains the feature to find out the appropriate knowledge and effort of the students spent throughout the learning. Iran is one of the countries that contributes to Turkish learning process for different reasons. Turkish proficiency exam is held by the examination Department of Yunus Emre Institute, that reveals students’ acquired skills and gaps connected with Turkish language. TPE exam is created in such a way that estimates the entire activities concerning Turkish language learning. For example, in Tehran 172 students were chosen from the final 8 Turkish proficiency exam held by Turkish cultural centre. Statistic Package for Social Science (SPSS 21.0) is applied for the results estimation. At the end of the research Iranian participants of the exam are given advice how to improve their success.
