Abstract


A STUDY ON THE INTERACTION OF PARENTS AND TEACHERS IN PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION
The places where children start first social life and formal education are pre-school education institutions. First of all here, children encounter with regular envirenment, programs and their teachers who will give direction to them, and these components help the formation of their personality. Students and teachers should not be left alone in this process, the family always should support the process continuously. It is clear that today’s school-family cooperation is not fully ensured and there are some similarities and differences between teachers’ expectations and the expectations of families. The aim of this research is to reveal expectations of the family and teachers clearly during the pre-school education, to identify what are the problems and different perceptions and with this regard, to develop ways of solutions and offer suggestions. In this study based on phenomenology method, parents and teachers' opinions were taken on interactions between the family and teachers in pre-school education. Prepared for teachers and parents as a a data collection tool semi-structured interview was used. The findings obtained from the interviews were interpreted by descriptive analysis techniques.
