Abstract
AN ASSESSMENT ON PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND LIBERAL ECONOMY
The transformation experienced in Turkish Public Administration since the 1980s has brought about changes in the understanding of public administration. In this context, the change in the expectations of the public services offered to the citizens by the state has brought with it the need to reorganize the concepts of efficiency and productivity in the understanding of public administration. With the change in the understanding of efficiency and productivity in the understanding of public administration, it has been very effective in the reforms in public administration and in laying the foundations of the new public administration approach. The new public administration approach has come to the forefront of an effective, efficient, transparent, citizen-oriented management approach instead of the downsizing of the state and the cumbersome, bureaucratic and centralized structure.
In this study; The concepts of efficiency, productivity and liberalism have been tried to be explained, and the effect of liberal economy, efficiency and productivity on Turkish Public Administration has been tried to be examined. In this study, descriptive methodology was adopted.
