Abstract
AN ASSESSMENT ON THE RELATIONSHIP OF CITY AND AESTHETICS
From the moment people acquired the first settlement, they have been aiming to beautify these places. Cities created by these people and places are also places where people strive to beautify. Of course, the increase in urbanization as a result of the industrial revolution and making cities livable rather than beautiful places have been the primary target. Today, the livability and beauty of cities have evolved into a balanced course.
The reflection of seeking or desiring the beautiful, which is a trait that people have inside, is identified with the concept of aesthetics. In this study, the problem of aesthetics in the places and cities where people are exposed or live the most on a daily basis has been taken into the center. The main subject of discussion is where the concept of aesthetics, in which all the elements that make up the city are somehow related, are effective or ineffective. In addition, an answer was sought to the question of how historical changes shaped the relationship between the city and aesthetics.
