Abstract


THE EFFECT OF INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP LEVELS OF SCHOOL PRINCIPALS ON SCHOOL CLIMATE ACCORDING TO TEACHERS' OPINIONS: THE EXAMPLE OF ORDU PROVINCE
The aim of this study is to determine the effect of inclusive leadership levels of school principals on the school climate based on teachers' opinions. The universe of the research is Ordu province; the sample consists of 224 teachers working in educational institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the districts of Ulubey, Central Ordu, Perşembe in the 2022-2023 business year. The teachers who made up the sample were determined by the easily accessible sampling method. To achieve the goal of the research, Demographic Information Form, which consists of 6 questions developed by researchers, Inclusive Leadership Scale adapted to Turkish by Sürücü and Maslakçı (2021) and the School Climate Scale developed by Canlı, Demirtaş and Özer (2018) were used after the required permissions were obtained. Sampling scale forms were delivered via programs used to collect information over the Internet. The obtained data were analyzed with the SPSS package program. The results of the research are as follows: According to teacher perceptions, there is a positive and strong relationship between the inclusive leadership level of the school principal and the school climate (r= ,700). The inclusive leadership level of the school principal does not create statistically significant differences in the variables of gender, type of institution, educational status and professional seniority of the teacher, but the variables of age and length of service in the current institution cause significant differences in teacher perceptions. Teacher’s perceptions of school climate, teacher gender, age, institution type, service in the current institution and professional seniority variables does not statistically significant differences; however, perceptions of school climate variable leads to significant variations in teachers’ education.
