Abstract


DETERMINING THE ATTITUDES OF CLASSROOM TEACHERS’ RETENTION: THE CASE OF ÜNYE
In this research, quantitative screening method was used to determine the attitudes of classroom teachers’ retention. The sample of the research consisted of 216 classroom teachers who were employed in the 2021-2022 academic year in Ünye district. The teachers who participated in the research were applied the Teacher Retention Scale (TRS), which was adapted to Turkish culture by Kaya and Argon (2019). Mean, frequency and standard deviation analyses and t-Test ANOVA analyses were applied to the obtained data. According to the findings obtained as a result of these analyzes; it was concluded that the attitude of classroom teachers’ retention is high, the attitudes of classroom teachers’ retention do not differ by gender, age, marital status and the location of the school where they work, and there is a significant differentiation in the attitudes of classroom teachers’ retention according to their professional seniority
