Abstract


THE EFFECT OF THE CREATIVE LEADERSHIP QUALITIES OF THE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL ON THE LEVEL OF TEACHER WORK LIFE QUALITY: AN EXAMPLE OF THE ÇANKAYA DISTRICT
The aim of this study is to determine the effect of creative leadership characteristics of school principals on the quality of work life of teachers according to teachers. In the 2021-2022 academic year, 150 teachers working in public secondary education institutions in Çankaya district of Ankara province participated in the research. The teachers who voluntarily participated in the research were selected by easy sampling method. The data of the research were collected with the Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher, the Creative Leadership Characteristics Scale of School Principals developed by Uçar and Sağlam and the Quality of Work Life Scale developed by Akar and Üstüner. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS. The results of the research are as follows: There is a high and negative (r =-0.73) relationship between the quality of work life of teachers and the creative leadership characteristics of school administrators. The work quality of life levels of teachers and the creative leadership characteristics of the school principal do not differ significantly according to the variables of gender, age, educational status and professional seniority of teachers.
