THE IMPACT OF CLIMATE ON TOURISM IN SUDAN A CASE STUDY OF THE NORTHERN STATE FROM 2012-2020
The study dealt with the effect of climate on tourism in the northern state ofSudan, which was characterized by many climatic, natural and human environments that formed a factor that attracted and motivated the establishment of tourism activist in the northern state, which includes many tourist models from archeological sites represented in the civilization of Merwe and Mount Barkal and various cultures, in addition to the natural constituents that Created by the desert, the Nile, mountains and various terrain. The study contributes to spreading awareness of the importance of tourism as an economic stimulant that increases national income and works to develop tourism in the northern state. The problem of the study was the extent of the impact of the climate on tourism in Sudan, especially the northern state in Sudan? What are the features of this effect? Where I assumed many of the most important Hypotheses: The nature of the geographical, agricultural, religious and archaeological area helped to provide the tourist climate in the northern state. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach. It came out with a set of results, the most important of which are: that the climate affected the presence of tourist areas and also had an effect in removing them as the winds did with sand, as the northern Sudan region covered what is known as the Sea of Sand, as natural factors affected tourist sites such as the presence of the Nile, waterfalls, and mountain Barkal and others on the presence of tourism in the northern region also affected the Lake of Merowe Dam in increasing the amount of rain in addition to the presence of a new type of tourism in the region next to the monuments. The study came out with solutions and recommendations, including: Encouraging tourism in the northern state by the public and private sectors, and providing suitableenvironment for tourists, such as building distinct hotels and villages, and services that are commensurate with the tourism elements of the northern state.
