Abstract
THE COMPARISON OF THE MATTER OF HUNGRINESS BETWEEN THE WORKS OF HER ŞEY GEÇİP GİDER OF VASİLİ GROSSMAN AND SALKIM SÖĞÜTLERİN GÖLGESİNDE OF FIRAT SUNEL
In the Works of Her Şey Geçip Gider of Vasili Grossman and Salkım Söğütlerin Gölgesinde of Fırat Sunel, it is narrated the events occured in a period of the history. During these events, the authors have narrated very good to their readers the matter of hungriness occured in either The Second World War or the period of kolkhozization enforced within the frame of economic policies of Stalin period in Russia. In addition to these, while Turkish author Fırat Sunel has depicted in his work the hungriness experienced by Ahıska Turks during the exile in 1944, Soviet author Vasili Grossman too has described in his work the hungriness occured in Ukraine in 1932. However, the purpose of this study entitled “The Comparison of The Matter of Hungriness Between The Works of Her Şey Geçip Gider of Vasili Grossman and Salkım Söğütlerin Gölgesinde of Fırat Sunel” is to reveal how the authors approach the matter of hungriness occured in USSR and if there are similarities and differences between these two authors’ narrations. The research subject of the study is tried to analyze through eclectical and mostly sociological analysing method by considering comparative literature data.
This paper is derived from the doctoral thesis of Necmiye Ayşim Parlakyıldız called “The Comparison of The Historical Period (1930-1953) Between The Works of Her Şey Geçip Gider of V. Grossman and Salkım Söğütlerin Gölgesinde of F. Sunel”.
