Abstract


TURKISH TEACHERS’ OPINION ABOUT CHILDRENS’ LITERATURE PRODUCTS: A CASE STUDY
In this study, it is aimed that Turkish teachers have opinions about children's literature products. Turkish teachers reviewed the content of the children's literature products they recommended, the criteria they took care of when choosing these products, the children literature writers they followed and the works they read about their children. Qualitative research method in research. The study group of the research consists of 20 Turkish teachers working in Gazipaşa district of Antalya province in 2018-2019 academic year. Semi-structured form face-to-face interviews were conducted with Turkish teachers. The data obtained from the study were evaluated with the content analysis approach. According to the results of the research, it is seen that Turkish teachers give importance to content oriented in a good children's literature product; Although they liked the writers of the local children's literature, they found that they recommended more about foreign children's literature, followed the current children's literature over the internet and used narration, narration and question-answer activities in the evaluation of the books. The achieved results are explained in the literature.
