Abstract


AN INVESTIGATION ON NORWAY EDUCATION SYSTEM: SOME IMPLICATIONS FOR TURKISH EDUCATION SYSTEM
This study has been carried out to examine the Educational System of Norway, which is one of the countries with a high level of prosperity in Europe, in terms of various parameters and to draw conclusions for the Turkish Education System. A number of factors play a role in shaping the educational system of an country. For this reason, in the study, firstly information has been given about the geographical, social and political situation of Norway and then the Norwegian Education System has been examined with the objectives and policy, the structure of the education system and the process dimension. While the structuring of the education system has been handled with the parameters of managerial structuring and school structuring; the parameters with education-teaching processes, training of managers and teachers, supervison and financing of education have been covered in the process dimension. Finally, in the study, the outstanding aspects of the Norwegian Education System have been emphasized and the inferences for the Turkish Education System have been found.
